Eye Glasses

Due to the custom nature of eye glass lenses there is a 25% restocking fee on any cancelled or returned product. The 25% restocking fee is applied before any discounts or insurance is applied. Eye glass purchases can be returned or the patient can be restyled one time up to 60 days from purchase date.

We are happy to correct any problems you may experience with your eyeglass lenses with a one-time doctor’s remake. Please see below for our specific timeline for remakes.

Frame Warranty:

There is a one-time, one-year manufacturer’s defect replacement warranty on all frames purchased at North Carolina Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat. Frames that are mistreated or damaged in a way not consistent with normal wear and tear will not be covered under the manufacturer’s replacement warranty.

Remake Policy for Eye Glass Lenses:

  1. Hoya Atlanta, EyeMed insurance, VSP insurance: 180 days
  2. Rudy Project, Liberty Sport: 60 days
  3. Maui Jim: 90 days

All lenses are subjected to a one-time remake. Additional remakes will incur a fee.

There is a one-year scratch warranty replacement with the purchase of a Non-Glare coating or Clarity Shield scratch coating. The replacement frequency is subject to the type of coating that the patient ordered. If a lens is lost or broken it is not covered for replacement.

Contact Lenses

If you wish to exchange or return contact lenses, please return them within 120 days of original purchase date. A 25% restocking fee will apply to all unopened contact lens vials or boxes returned for credit that are considered custom made orders. Only unopened contact lens vials or boxes may be returned or exchanged. No credit or exchanges are permitted on opened boxes or vials. Any box directly written on and/or marked Right/Left will not be refunded or exchanged.
