New Optometrist Joins North Carolina Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat
The physicians and staff of North Carolina Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat are thrilled to introduce our new Doctor of Optometry Geeta Chowdhary.

Dr. Chowdhary will provide complete eye care for adults and children. She specializes in comprehensive optometry, specialty contact lens fittings and dry eye disease diagnosis.
Dr. Chowdhary was born and raised in beautiful Kenya. In 1997, she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Optometry at Aston University in Birmingham, England where she graduated with Honors. She practiced in Bognor Regis, England before moving to the United States with her husband. She further completed her Doctor of Optometry Degree in 2003 graduating with Honors, from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2004, Dr. Chowdhary pursued a Residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease Management at the Veteran Affairs Brockton/Worcester Divisions in MA. She was attracted by the warmth and natural beauty of North Carolina and moved to the area in late 2005 where she now resides with her husband and two sons. Since her move, Dr. Chowdhary has practiced in the Triangle area.
“I value sight and am passionate about helping my patients achieve optimum vision and their best quality of life,” said Dr. Chowdhary. “I care for both the pediatric and the adult population, providing comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings so their individual refractive needs can be met through spectacles and/or contact lenses. My exam includes screening for various eye diseases such as dry eye, corneal conditions, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration and to ensure that my patients get the best possible care for their eyes.”
Dr. Chowdhary joins a distinguished group of highly trained physicians and providers specializing in ophthalmology, otolaryngology, audiology, speech pathology and cosmetic procedures at NCEENT. The practice offers services in five convenient Triangle area locations in North Durham, South Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill and Roxboro. Dr. Chowdhary will see patients in our Chapel Hill and North Durham Offices.
